Myanmar Green Land Natural
Founded in 1999 by U Sai Wan Maing, Green Land Coffee Plantation is located in Pyin Oo Lwin, Myanmar, a hill town celebrated for its botanical gardens and colonial-era charm. Nestled at 1,150 meters above sea level on the Shan Plateau, the farm benefits from fertile soil enriched by nitrogen-fixing erythrina trees, which dot the landscape with vibrant orange-red flowers.
Originally a 30-acre enterprise, Green Land has expanded to 450 acres, making it one of Myanmar's largest coffee farms with over 580,000 trees. The main variety grown is a Catimor strain from Costa Rica, supplemented by SL34, which accounts for 10% of the crop. Experiments with Yellow Bourbon, Caturra, and Catuai varieties are also underway.
Challenges include excessive shade in some areas, which impacts coffee quality, and the onset of rust affecting older trees. Each acre yields about 300 kilograms of green coffee on average. Additionally, macadamia trees are cultivated, producing a crop more valuable than coffee.
The plantation employs 15 full-time workers, with the workforce expanding to 100 during harvest season. Around 50 workers are active daily. While Green Land has its own basic wet and dry milling facilities, it often utilises the superior equipment of Mandalay Coffee Group for processing.
Green Land’s combination of innovation, crop diversity, and partnerships has established it as a key player in Myanmar’s growing coffee industry.

Don't know how potterbeans keep producing such good coffee's, but again they have done. Nice well balanced coffee, back or white.
Potterbeans is always my first choice for ground coffee with a personal touch - great company & great service every time.
Tasty tasty
Great selection of coffees to give as a gift and nicely presented. Recipient was delighted with gift.
Although we have a regular order of monsoon malibar there has never been a coffee we didn't enjoy from Potter Beans. Always quick to respond they are people that obviously love what they do with a passion, whether that be coffee related or pottery related.
Recomended and gifted to so many friends.
In my haste to write about my favourite coffee, I somehow gave it one star, with a glowing review. That wasn't my intention.
Great gift
Loved it. Will definitely order again
Fantastic! Lovely flavours: smoky, earthy, and spicy espresso.
The tins were a gift and they are beautiful to look at, and the coffee tastes gorgeous. Very impressed.
This coffee is very smooth and very very drinkable! Notes of milk chocolate, fig and apricot. I always thought Indonesian coffees were quite smoky and spicy but this is not. Thanks Steve for recommending it, I might have otherwise steered clear. I shall be buying another bag soon.
A good daily brew would buy again
Indian Monsoon Malabar
Potterbeans Wood fired Indian Monsoon Malabar beans have been making me the finest espresso since I was introduced to them over a year ago. having tried all manner of variety subscriptions which are now cancelled because it seems to be my go to drink.
Wow …. I keep coming back to this one! Flavour it 👌🏻
A good all rounder an earthy, full bodied, coffee.
Our go to bean for the perfect start to the day.
Plenty of depth to the flavour and very smooth, this is definitely a coffee that stands out from the rest.
Really lovely coffee with a great depth of flavours.
