Modern Coffee Oak Roasted

Speciality Coffee Roasters Cornwall UK

At Potterbeans, we’ve stepped away from the rush and convenience of coffee-to-go culture in favour of a slower, more thoughtful approach. We believe great coffee deserves time, care, and attention at every stage, making sure the care, and time invested by producers, is reflected in the roasting to packing. Rather than chasing speed, we focus on doing things with intention, and respect for the craft.

We want each coffee we offer to tell a story of place, process, and people, showcasing the distinct flavours and qualities that make the coffee unique.

Speciality Coffee, Sourcing

Our approach to sourcing specialty coffee is guided by quality, trust, and consideration at every stage. We look for coffees that reflect genuine care in how they are grown, harvested, and processed, and we work with producers and partners who value sustainability, fairness, and consistency. By choosing coffees with intention, we aim to celebrate origin, support responsible practices, and share coffees that are as meaningful as they are delicious.

Using locally sourced solar dried oak wood, we combine artisanal skill, and modern day software to guide the coffee roasting process on our restored 1950s coffee roaster.

Pottery Studio

Each piece is thrown and glazed by our resident potter, Lucy Brown, here in our studio in Cornwall. Lucy is at home when she is on the wheel, describing it as 'pure bliss' when she loses herself in the mindful process. All our tumblers and espresso cups are made by Lucy, designed to make your coffee moments a little more special.
