Brazil Eagle Mogiana
The Mogiana region, located along the border between São Paulo and Minas Gerais, is one of Brazil’s most historic and celebrated coffee-producing areas. Its well-known subregion, Alta Mogiana, is characterized by rolling hills, broad plateaus, and nutrient-rich red soils — all of which create an ideal environment for growing high-quality Arabica coffees.
With elevations typically ranging from 900 to 1,200 meters, Mogiana’s climate and altitude contribute to coffees that are naturally sweet, full-bodied, and balanced in acidity. Producers in this area commonly cultivate varieties like Mundo Novo, Catuai, and Bourbon, prized for their dependable yields and their classic flavor profiles featuring sweetness, chocolate, and nutty undertones.
Many farms in Mogiana remain small to medium in size and are often family-operated, with knowledge and cultivation practices passed down through generations. This deep agricultural heritage, combined with the region’s natural advantages, results in coffees that are both consistently high-quality and distinctly expressive of the traditional Brazilian terroir.
All these elements — landscape, soil composition, climate, varietals, and the skill of local farmers — give Mogiana naturals their signature smooth, sweet, and rich character, often complemented by notes of caramel, nuts, chocolate, or soft fruit. The cup is comforting yet still offers refined complexity.
The method of selecting individual farm lots and processing them with precision is designed to honor what makes Mogiana unique. By doing so, they preserve the region’s authentic flavor identity and ensure that every batch of our coffee reflects the dependable, classic quality Mogiana is known for.

My customers at Willow’s Pantry Polruan, Cornwall absolutely love Potterbeans coffee. It gets so many compliments daily, the best coffee someone had had in Cornwall so far (Australian Barista) and the best coffee someone has had ALL YEAR. We love our relationship with Potterbeans who are incredibly straightforward and care so much about their processes and products as well as their working partners with their growers which is what drew me to them as a cafe owner. Thanks guys!
