1.2kg Tin Brazil Eagle Mogiana
Our 1.2kg tin showcases a coffee from Brazil’s renowned Mogiana region, which lies along the border of São Paulo and Minas Gerais and is widely recognised as one of the country’s most established coffee-growing areas. Within it, Alta Mogiana is especially respected for its rolling terrain, elevated plateaus, and rich red soils, all of which provide excellent conditions for producing high-quality Arabica coffee.
Grown at altitudes of around 900 to 1,200 metres, coffees from this region are known for their natural sweetness, rounded body, and balanced acidity. Varieties such as Mundo Novo, Catuai, and Bourbon are commonly cultivated here, valued not only for their reliability in the field but also for the classic flavour profile they bring to the cup, with notes of chocolate, nuts, and gentle sweetness.
Many of Mogiana’s farms are small to medium-sized family operations, where coffee-growing knowledge has been handed down over generations. That long-standing experience, combined with the region’s favourable landscape and climate, helps produce coffees that are both consistent in quality and expressive of traditional Brazilian character.
Together, the soil, altitude, climate, varietals, and skill of the farmers give Mogiana natural coffees their distinctive style: smooth, sweet, and full-bodied, often layered with notes of caramel, nuts, chocolate, and soft fruit. The result is a comforting cup with plenty of depth and subtle complexity.
