Lucy is the very beginnings of Potterbeans. Born out of a love of handmade, homegrown, home brewed, Lucy's wish to make hand-made functional, every day use items for a living is central to Potterbeans existence. All of our original pottery pieces are handmade here at the roastery by our resident potter, Lucy Brown. Lucy describes her craft as “pure bliss,” embracing it as a slow, meditative process. She shapes and transforms the clay on the wheel, drawing inspiration from the colours of the beach and ocean to create functional yet beautiful objects for everyday use.
The simple joy of using these thoughtfully made pieces, and becoming part of daily rituals, has the power to elevate everyday moments.
